May 2012 – Winlock Emergency Sink Hole Repair
Owner:  WSDOT Contract Amount: $ 250,000
Project Manager:  Tod Tapani
Superintendent:  Jamey Radford
P. M. Assistant:  Nick Moreno
Description: Repair of a sink hole that developed due to an old 6 foot culvert that had broken and undermined the road in the main intersection in Winlock, WA. A 24 foot section of the culvert was replaced with box culverts. The shoring was tricky because the hole was 15 feet deep and the foundation of one of the local businesses was 5 feet away. We also had to divert the creek that flowed through the culvert 1500 feet through town with 4 road crossings.
